got an PT file in from NY last night that i want to transfer from PTle to RADAR for mix... i was pretty fried after a day of tracking ,so i didn't spend much time working things out. i got stuck on slaving the RADAR to le via MTC... optical audio worked great w/ le being master & RADAR locking to optical clock. placed RADAR in slave to external TC, but couldn't get RADAR to fire...anyone have any experience with integrating these two machines?? need TC lock to transfer 3 banks of 8 via lightpipe !! thanks

I did this once. I don't remember exactly how we configured the Radar2 (I don't have a Radar myself), but basically we fed the Radar MTC from the 001, set the Radar to Lock to Ext. TC (don't remember if the Radar had a special MTC-menu), pressed play on the Radar (wait for timecode), hit play on the 001 and then they synced after 1-2 seconds. We transferred 14 tunes, 24 tracks each, in 8-track passes. Took us a looooong day. Sorry I can't be of more help, but I can assure you it works. It was rather straightforward too; no hidden menus og magic involved ;-) Stein Tore

as for inport / export, RADAR isn't a DAW per se... no drag & drop possible (although DAMSEL does allow for file transfer if you have a PT rig with "pull drawer" type external hard drives inited for 64k clusters) i'm sure the key is HITTING THE PLAY BUTTON!!! (firm slap to head) i'll be able to try it tomorrow... thanks
