Invert MIDI ?

I can reverse midi, is there a way to invert midi notes that I'm not seeing? Thanks.

Not at the moment in the midi editor. It would be cool to be able to flip selected notes horizontally and/or vertically. Thinking about it you would need further options to preserve or disregard groove and/or key. A tricky bit of code, but quite doable. I think a feature request has been submitted. Steve

Indeed there are plenty of plugins that enable us to flip notes. It just would be nice to be able to do this within the midi editor, which, after all, is designed for editing midi. Steve

Composition. Composers such as Mozart have been doing this kind of thing for centuries.

Real time would be inpossible. Think about it for a moment, there is no way of knowing which notes are going to be played in the future and which one of those notes to base the inversion upon. If you knew exactly which notes were going to be played then I suppose a JS plugin could be written that would transpose each note accordingly. I think I remember a vst plugin that does something similar, might have been one of the plugs in the free pizMIDI collection.
